GUNS, DRUGS, AND STOLEN PROPERTY UNCOVERED DURING SEARCH OF DONIPHAN HOME
One subject has been taken into custody after guns, drugs, and stolen property were discovered at a Ripley County home.
On Wednesday, officers with the Ripley County Sheriff's Office, the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at a residence on Mourning Dove Lane in Doniphan.
According to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, during the search, officers seized two stolen campers, one enclosed trailer with a defaced vehicle identification number, twenty-one firearms, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
57 year old David Brannon, of Doniphan, was arrested at the scene.
Brannon has been lodged in the Ripley County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a weapon.
PATTON MAN KILLED IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH
A Patton man was killed in a single vehicle crash Wednesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 60 year old man was driving on Highway A in Wayne County when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, and overturned.
Officials say the crash occurred at around 5:30 pm, four miles north of Williamsville.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner.
CRASH CLAIMS THREE LIVES IN CLAY COUNTY
A single vehicle crash that killed multiple people is under investigation in Northeast Arkansas.
According to the Arkansas State Police, at around 10:30 pm Wednesday, Troopers responded to a report of a one-vehicle wreck on State Highway 211, north of Success.
At the scene, troopers discovered that a vehicle had veered off the roadway, entered a ditch, struck a tree, and caught fire.
The driver, 19 year old Izabella Brasfield, of Marmaduke, as well as passengers 45 year old Michelle Braman and 19 year old Tara Calhoun, both of Corning, were pronounced dead at the scene.
EARLY ANTLERLESS PORTION OF FIREARMS DEER SEASON SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
The early antlerless portion of firearms deer season is set for this weekend.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, the segment is scheduled for today through Sunday, from one half hour before sunrise to one half hour after sunset each day.
There are numerous counties in Southeast Missouri which will not be included in the early or late antlerless portions including Butler, Carter, Dunklin, Iron, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, Stoddard, and Wayne Counties.
The late antlerless portion of firearms deer season will be held between December 6th and December 14th.

FUNERAL SET FOR THIS WEEKEND FOR SIKESTON OFFICER KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY
A funeral will be held this weekend for a Sikeston Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty earlier this week.
According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, services will be held on Saturday for Public Safety Officer Henry Franklin.
Officials say that any citizens wishing to show their support for Officer Franklin’s family and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety should stage along East Malone Avenue Saturday afternoon.
Full law enforcement honors will follow the service.
A Community Candlelight Vigil is scheduled for 7 pm Friday night outside of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety building.
FALL BUFF UP THE BLUFF COMING ON SATURDAY
The 2025 Fall Buff up the Bluff event is set for this weekend.
The citywide clean up event has been scheduled for Saturday.
Henson’s Transfer Station on the Industrial Park Bypass will be accepting items during the event.
