BODY RECOVERED FROM CLEARWATER LAKE
The body of a 32-year-old Piedmont man was recovered Tuesday afternoon following a three-day search on Clearwater Lake.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Thomas Young with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G tells KWOC News, the recovery took place shortly after 1 pm in the Webb Creek Marina area. The victim's family has been notified.
Authorities say the search began Sunday afternoon after reports that a man had fallen from a pontoon boat in the area between Clearwater Lake Marina and Webb Creek.
Initial reports indicated the man was wearing a life jacket. However, investigators later determined that he was not wearing one at the time he entered the water.
Sgt. Young added, out of respect for the family, Troop G will not releasing the victim’s name.

GREENVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED ON FELONY DRUG CHARGE IN WAYNE COUNTY
An area woman was arrested Monday afternoon on a felony drug charge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45 year old Jennifer Chubb, of Greenville, was taken into custody shortly before 5 pm Monday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance - opiates.
Chubb is also facing a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following the arrest, she was held at the Wayne County Jail.
DATES SET FOR ANNUAL CHILDREN’S THEATER DRAMA CAMP
The dates have been set for the Annual Jo Nell Seifert Children’s Drama Camp at Three Rivers College.
The camp for students entering 2nd to 8th grade will begin on July 13th at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers College Poplar Bluff campus. There will be two separate one week camps this year, one beginning July 13th and the other starting July 27th.
The cost of the drama camp is $75, which includes a T-shirt, scripts, notebook, daily snack, and drink.
The deadline to register for both camps is June 30th. More information is available on the Three Rivers College Facebook page.
POPLAR BLUFF MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN BUTLER COUNTY CRASH
One person was injured in a Butler County crash Monday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 68 year old Poplar Bluff man was driving on US Highway 60, three miles east of Poplar Bluff, when his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The man suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
FREE STUDENT ATHLETE PHYSICALS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONTH IN POPLAR BLUFF
Poplar Bluff High School and Junior High student athletes can get a free physical next month at the High School.
Physicals will be conducted beginning at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 30th for athletes in the 7th and 8th grades, beginning at 6:30 pm for 9th and 10th grades, and beginning at 7:30 pm for 11th and 12th grades.

MISSOURI RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO REPORT TURKEY SIGHTINGS TO MDC
The Missouri Department of Conservation is asking the public to help it monitor the state’s wild turkey population this summer.
MDC has conducted an annual Wild Turkey Brood Survey every year since 1959 to determine the success of the annual hatch.
Observations of all wild turkeys MDC staff and volunteers observe during June, July, and August are recorded at the county level and summarized by region and statewide.
Missouri residents can report wild turkey sightings through the MDC Wild Turkey Brood Survey.
