38TH ANNUAL WOMEN AWARE CONFERENCE SET FOR TODAY AT BLACK RIVER COLISEUM
Tickets are still available for anyone who wants to see the Keynote Speaker at the 38th Annual Women Aware Conference in Poplar Bluff.
The conference will be held from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm today at the Black River Coliseum.
The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Sally McRae, a professional ultra/mountain runner.

MAN INJURED IN CRASH ON WAPPAPELLO LAKE
A Lowndes man was injured in a crash on Wappapello Lake this week.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol two vessels collided on the lake Tuesday evening at the Old Greenville Recreation area.
The driver of one of the vessels, identified as a 70 year old man from Lowndes, was flown to a Cape Girardeau hospital with moderate injuries.
No injuries were listed for the other driver.
THREE RIVERS COLLEGE TO HOST MEET THE RAIDERS EVENT
The Three Rivers College athletic season is fast approaching and area residents will have the opportunity to meet some of the players who will be representing the Raiders this year.
The college is hosting a “Meet the Raiders” event beginning at 6 pm on September 22nd at the Libla Family Sports Complex.
The event will showcase the players and coaches for the Raiders basketball and baseball teams, the Lady Raiders basketball and softball teams, the rodeo team, the Esports team, and the cheer team.
Admission to the event is free, and a meal ticket is $5 for non-students.
FEED AND SEED EVENT SCHEDULED FOR TODAY
New Day Ministry in Poplar Bluff will be hosting a feed and seed event today.
The event is from 3 to 5 pm and is first come, first serve, with packs limited to one per household.

ROADWORK TO CAUSE DELAYS TODAY IN MULTIPLE STODDARD COUNTY LOCATIONS
MODOT crews will be working today in multiple locations in Stoddard County.
Route AB in Stoddard County will be reduced today from Route N to Sherwood Forest Drive near Bloomfield.
That work zone will be in place from 8 am to 4 pm.
Also today, crews will be reducing Route J in Stoddard County from 11 am to 1 pm.
That work zone will be located from Tower Drive to Route AA in Bloomfield.
CREWS TO REDUCE ROUTE U IN WAYNE COUNTY TODAY FOR PAVEMENT REPAIRS
Route U in Wayne County will be reduced today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
The section of roadway being reduced is located from County Road 226 to County Road 733.
Weather permitting, work will take place today from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, the roadway will be open to local traffic only and will be guided with a pilot car.
