ELLSINORE WOMAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE COUNTS OF CHILD ENDANGERMENT
A woman has been arrested in Carter County on multiple counts of child endangerment.
According to Carter County Sheriff Alonzo Bradwell, on Monday, investigators conducted a well-being check on a residence that contained very small children.
During the check, deputies discovered conditions that were deemed hazardous. Bradwell says that the environment was determined to be severely unsanitary and unfit for habitation.
The children in the home were removed and placed in a secure location.
The parent of the children, identified as Alpine Brooks, of Elsinore, was arrested on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
She was held in the Carter County Jail on no bond.
RIPLEY COUNTY FAIR TO BEGIN ON JULY 30TH
Preparations are underway for the 50th Annual Ripley County Fair.
Officials say that the fair will be held this year from July 30th through August 2nd at the Ripley County Fairgrounds, south of Doniphan.
Multiple activities are planned for the four day event, including a beauty pageant, carnival, truck and tractor pull, bake sale, and more.

POPLAR BLUFF PARENTS REMINDED TO COMPLETE ANNUAL VERIFICATION FOR THEIR STUDENTS
Parents in Poplar Bluff are being reminded to complete their children’s annual registration for Poplar Bluff Schools.
The back-to-school verification paperwork can be completed online through the Campus Parent Portal.
All existing Poplar Bluff School District families must complete the Annual Verification process each year to ensure that school records are up to date.

DUNKLIN COUNTY OFFICIALS WARNING OF SCAMMER GOING DOOR TO DOOR POSING AS A SATELLITE TV EMPLOYEE
Officials in Dunklin county are warning area residents to watch out for a possible scammer in your neighborhood.
According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office, they have received multiple complaints about an individual posing as a DIRECTV or Dish Network employee, going door to door and claiming he can help lower your bill.
Officials say that the reports have come from the Malden area and the individual does not represent DIRECTV or Dish Network.
If the individual does come to your residence, do not let them in your home or give them any money or personal information.

SHOULDER REPAIRS TO CAUSE DELAYS ON US ROUTE 60 IN CARTER COUNTY THROUGH OCTOBER
U.S. Route 60 in Southeast Missouri will be reduced to one lane for over three months as contractor crews perform shoulder repairs.
The section of roadway being reduced is located from Route AM in Howell County to Route Y in Carter County.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Thursday, October 30.
BRIDGE MAINTENANCE UNDERWAY ON ROUTE 61 IN PEMISCOT COUNTY
Route 61 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane for most of this week so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform bridge maintenance.
Officials say that the bridge is located from Bowen Street to Division Street in Steele.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, through Thursday.
