ENDANGERED PERSON ADVISORY ISSUED FOR MISSING SOUTHERN MISSOURI TEENAGER

An Endangered Person Advisory has been issued for a missing Missouri teenager who could be on the way to Wayne County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Thayer Police Department has issued the advisory for 16 year old Shane Martin.

Martin reportedly left his residence on foot after a family altercation and has not been contacted since. Officials say he suffers from multiple mental and physical issues and may harm himself.

He is possibly en route to Williamsville in a Silver Honda Civic.

Martin is described as a white male, five feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion.

He could be wearing a black hat, a dark corduroy jacket, dark blue jeans, and black boots.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts should immediately dial 911 to contact your nearest law enforcement agency or call the Thayer Police Department at 417-264-3819.

METHAMPHETAMINE FOUND IN RESIDENCE IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS

Three people have been taken into custody after drugs were found at a residence in Northeast Arkansas.

Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller tells KWOC News that Clay County Deputies and the Corning Police Department conducted a probation search Wednesday afternoon at a residence in Corning.

Authorities located 17.3 grams of methamphetamine in the home as well as a set of digital scales and several bags used to distribute the drugs.

Officers arrested Tonya Marshall at the residence, along with two other suspects whose names were not released.

The suspects were all transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

BUTLER COUNTY FAIR TO KICK OFF TONIGHT

The Butler County Fair is set to get started in Poplar Bluff.

Multiple events are scheduled for tonight at the fair, including the opening of the carnival at 5 pm and the weenie dog races beginning at 7 pm.

Tonight is also first responder night at the Fair and attendees will get to meet first responders from the Poplar Bluff Police Department, the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, the Poplar Bluff Fire Department, Butler County EMS, and more.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEIZURE OF OVER A POUND OF MARIJUANA

A traffic stop led to a drug bust earlier this week in Malden.

According to the Malden Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday that resulted in the seizure of over a pound of marijuana and over $25,000 in cash.

Officials say that Kevin D. Surratt II was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance and housed in the Dunklin County Justice Center.

NEW POPLAR BLUFF RESTAURANT TO HOST GRAND OPENING IN OCTOBER

A new Poplar Bluff restaurant will be holding its grand opening next month.

The grand opening for McAlister’s Deli has been scheduled for 10:30 am on Monday, October 7th.

According to their website, McAlister’s Deli is a fast casual restaurant chain known for its sandwiches, spuds, soups, salads, desserts, and sweet tea.

FAFSA FRENZY EVENT SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONTH AT POPLAR BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL

An event has been scheduled for next month in Poplar Bluff to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

FAFSA Frenzy will be held on October 3rd from 3 to 8 pm at the Poplar Bluff High School Commons Area.

Students who are interested in participating must sign up at the counseling center.
