ARREST MADE IN WAYNE COUNTY SHOOTING 

An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting last week in Wayne County.  

According to authorities, 34 year old Adam Alden, of Piedmont, has been taken into custody on charges of armed criminal action and 2nd degree assault.  

The shooting occurred early Friday morning and the victim, whose name was not available, was reportedly in stable condition.

HORNERSVILLE WOMAN FACING METH CHARGE OUT OF STODDARD COUNTY

A Hornersville woman is facing a meth charge following her arrest Friday evening in Stoddard County.  

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 33 year old Jessica Blair was taken into custody Friday on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Blair also reportedly had a warrant out of Mississippi County in Northeast Arkansas for burglary.

22ND ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR IN BUTLER COUNTY TO BE HELD IN LATE SEPTEMBER

The 22nd Annual Health Fair in Butler County is set to be held today.  

According to the Butler County Community Resource Council, the health fair has been scheduled for 9 am to noon at the Twin Towers in Poplar Bluff.  

The event is for seniors, ages 50 and up.

CARTER COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING REPORTS STUDENT MADE STATEMENTS ABOUT BRINGING A WEAPON TO SCHOOL 

An investigation has been started following alleged statements that a student made regarding bringing a weapon to school.  

According to Carter County Sheriff Richard Stephens, on Friday members of the East Carter School District, the Ellsinore Police Department, and the Carter County Sheriff’s Office received information relating to a 16 year old student allegedly making statements relating to bringing a weapon to the school. 

Stephens say that an investigation into the alleged statements is ongoing and there are no known active ongoing threats relating to any educational facilities at this time.

MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON RAPE WARRANT IN RIPLEY COUNTY 

A Naylor man has been taken into custody in Butler County on a rape warrant.  

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that 26 year old Christopher Crider was arrested Saturday night on a felony Butler County warrant for rape.  

Crider was held in the Butler County Jail following the arrest.

POPLAR BLUFF MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON METH AND PARAPHERNALIA CHARGES 

Authorities in Butler County arrested an area man Friday night on a felony meth charge.  

According to the Highway Patrol, 45 year old Bobby Trusty, of Poplar Bluff, was taken into custody shortly before 11 pm Friday night on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.  

Trusty was also arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Following the arrest he was held at the Butler County Jail. 

POPLAR BLUFF ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER SELECTED FOR STATE AWARD 

A Poplar Bluff Animal Control Officer has been selected for a statewide award. 

According to Poplar Bluff Animal Control, Dan St. Lawrence has been chosen to receive the Animal Control Officer of the Year Award.  

St. Lawrence was honored at the Missouri Animal Control Association’s annual conference last week.
