DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ENDS THIS WEEKEND 

The sun will begin rising an hour earlier on Sunday.  

Daylight Saving Time will come to an end at 2 am Sunday morning. Remember to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.   

Daylight Saving Time will start again on Sunday, March 10th, 2019. 

MULTIPLE COMMUNITY FLU CLINICS SCHEDULED FOR THIS MONTH IN BUTLER COUNTY 

Multiple flu clinics have been scheduled for this month in Butler County.  

Officials with the Butler County Health Department say that it is important to remember to protect yourself, family members, and the community from spreading the flu virus. Preventative measures include washing your hands and receiving a flu vaccine.

AUTHORITIES IN PUXICO TO HOST CHILI AND HOT DOG DINNER AND HAYRIDE TONIGHT 

Authorities in Puxico are planning for a special event for a good cause tonight.  

The Puxico Police and Fire Department will be hosting a chili and hot dog dinner, hay ride and face painting from 6 to 10 pm tonight.  

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Christmas toy drive. For more information, call 573-222-3565.

POPLAR BLUFF MAN ARRESTED IN ON A FELONY BURGLARY WARRANT 

Authorities in Poplar Bluff have arrested a man on a felony burglary warrant.  

Officials with the Poplar Bluff Police Department tell KWOC News that 36 year old Roland Paisley, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon on a felony warrant for burglary 1st degree.  

Paisley’s bond is set at $100,000 and officials say as of this morning remains in jail.

STODDARD COUNTY BRIDGE TO BE REPLACED NEXT SUMMER 

Plans are underway to replace a bridge in Stoddard County next summer.  

Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation tell KWOC News that the plan is to replace a bridge over Drainage Ditch Number 1 on Route DD around two and a half miles of Vanduser.  

The bridge will be closed to traffic for approximately eight to 12 weeks during construction.  

Officials say that any person affected by the project may request that a public hearing be held in regard to the proposed improvements.

10TH ANNUAL HOWLING AT THE MOON SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT 

The Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri is preparing for their upcoming benefit tonight.  

“Howling at the Moon,” the 10th annual fall benefit for the AWA is scheduled for 6 to 10 pm tonight at the Holiday Inn Ballroom in Poplar Bluff.  

There will be a full dinner by Tasteful Creations, a live DJ, dancing, a silent Auction, and a cash bar. Tickets are available for $30 and proceeds from the event will benefit AWA's programs and contribute to the organization's shelter construction fund.

FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST CHILI SUPPER AND AUCTION

The Highway K Volunteer Fire Department of Doniphan has announced they will be hosting a Chili Supper and Auction this weekend.  

The supper will begin at 6 pm Saturday at the fire station, a half mile east of 21 North on K Highway.  

The supper will include all you can eat chili or soup along with a drink and desert.  

Following the supper there will be an auction of baked goods and items donated by local businesses and members of the community.
