POPLAR BLUFF MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN CONNECTION TO MISSING TEENAGER FROM NORTHEAST ARKANSAS
A Poplar Bluff man is facing a felony charge in connection to a reported missing teenager out of Northeast Arkansas.
According to authorities, 24 year old Keegan Bryce Tatsch has been arrested on a felony charge of Interference with Custody.
A 16 year old girl from Jonesboro who had been reported missing was found at Tatsch’s home.
Tatsch had reportedly been in contact with the girl and drove to Jonesboro to pick her up. She has been safely returned to her parents.
MAN INJURED AFTER BEING RUN OVER BY A VEHICLE IN WAYNE COUNTY
A man was injured early Tuesday morning after being run over by a vehicle in Wayne County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 53 year old Daren Bewley, of Matthews, was getting items from the vehicle when it rolled back over him.
Bewley was seriously injured and transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
PIPE REPLACEMENT PROJECT TO CONTINUE TODAY IN BUTLER COUNTY
Another portion of Route HH in Butler County will be closed today so crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation can replace a pipe beneath the roadway.
The section of roadway to be closed today is located between Route 53 and Settlement Lane.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take place from 8 am to 3 pm.
AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING TWO STABBING INCIDENTS IN KENNETT
Authorities in Kennett are investigating two separate stabbing incidents.
According to the Kennett Police Department, at around 10:30 pm Saturday night officers were dispatched to the St. Bernard’s Urgent Care in reference to an assault. At the location officers learned that the victim had been stabbed during an altercation and was flown to a hospital in Memphis.
On Monday at approximately 7:35am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Missouri Route EE in reference to an injured subject. At the scene, officers were told that someone had entered the victim’s home, sprayed him with mace, stabbed him, and began demanding money.
Officials say that there were no suspects at the time of the report and the incident remains under investigation.
TODAY IS THE DEADLINE IN MISSOURI TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN UPCOMING GENERAL ELECTION
The deadline is today to make sure you are registered to vote in the upcoming election.
According to the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office, the last day to register to vote in Missouri for the general election is today.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6th.

AUTHORITIES IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS WARN OF PHONE SCAM
Authorities in a Northeast Arkansas County say they have received multiple reports about a phone scam.
Greene County Sheriff David Carter tells KWOC News that the Sheriff’s Department several phone calls yesterday about a phone scam in Greene County.
The caller says they are Officer Brooks with the Greene County Sheriff's Department and claims to have a warrant for the receiver for missing jury duty.
Sheriff Carter says there is no Officer Brooks at the Sheriff's Department and if you get a call like this just hang up.
Carter added that scams of this nature have been going on in several counties in northeast Arkansas.
TWO CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS NAMED POPLAR BLUFF ATHLETES OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER
Two Poplar Bluff Cross Country runners have been named as Athletes of the Month for September.
The Mules Booster Club has named Katelyn Moeller and Jaden Deaton of Poplar Bluff High School for the honor.
Moeller, a senior this year, was a 2017 sectional qualifier; and a 2018 medalist in the Poplar Bluff Tri, the Sioux Passage, and the Jackson, West Plains and Notre Dame Invitationals.
Deaton is a sophomore and was also a 2017 sectional qualifier. During the 2018 season, he has had first place finishes in the Poplar Bluff Tri, as well as the Jackson, West Plains and Fox Invitationals; and top 10 finishes in the Sioux Passage and Notre Dame Invitational.
