MISSOURI VOTERS REJECT ABORTION AMENDMENT AND NEW CONGRESSIONAL MAP
Voters defeated a proposed amendment to Missouri’s constitution that would have reimposed restrictions on most abortions.
The vote Tuesday on Amendment 3 essentially reaffirmed voters' decision from two years ago, when they became the first in the nation to undo an existing abortion ban by approving an abortion-rights amendment.
Voters also rejected Amendment 7, which would have created a state investment fund and Proposition A, which would have implemented a mid decade redistricting map that was passed last year by the Missouri Legislature
Missouri voters approved Amendment 6, which makes it harder for lawmakers to change citizen-led ballot initiatives and Amendment 8, which requires the election of county sheriffs.
