RIVER RADIO LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE IS TONIGHT
Christmas lights will be shining bright tonight in Downtown Poplar Bluff.
The 2025 River Radio Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin at 6 pm with line up starting at 4:30 pm at the Sky High Fun Zone parking lot.
The parade route this year will run from Highway 53 at McDonalds, north along Ditch Road into Downtown Poplar Bluff, then east on Vine Street, before circling back on Main Street.
Right before the parade, the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree will be held in front of the Black River Coliseum.

RICOCHET TO HEADLINE 2026 VALENTIES FOR VETERANS CONCERT
The artists have been announced for the 2026 Valentines for Veterans concert in Poplar Bluff.
According to the Wake Foundation, the concert, featuring legendary country group Ricochet and Billy Yates, will be held on Thursday, February 12th at the Black River Coliseum.
Tickets for the concert are free for military members and veterans as well as their families.
Tickets can be picked up at the Black River Coliseum, the Stars and Stripes Museum, the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, and the Wake Foundation beginning the first week of January. You must show a military ID when picking up your tickets.

CITY OF QULIN TO THROW CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
A Butler County city will be throwing a Christmas Celebration this weekend.
The Qulin Christmas Celebration is scheduled from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday.
The event will feature live music, food trucks, photos with Santa, and a tree lighting ceremony at Qulin City Hall.

POPLAR BLUFF KIWANIS CLUB ACCEPTING PAJAMAS DONATIONS FOR CHILDREN
The annual Pajama Rama donation drive is wrapping up today in Poplar Bluff.
The Kiwanis Club of Poplar Bluff is accepting new pajamas, underwear, and socks, for toddlers to young adults. The Club will be distributing the items to children in foster care with the help of Foster Adopt Connect.
You can drop off items at the Whitworth Gift Chest Jewelers, The Poplar Bluff Library, and First Midwest Bank. Today is the final day that donations will be accepted.
GROUCHY GRINCH RUN 5K COMING UP ON SATURDAY
Walkers and runners will be meeting at McLane Park in Poplar Bluff this weekend.
The Grouchy Grinch Run 5k is scheduled for this Saturday. Check-in will begin at 9:30 am, with the run starting at 10 am.
The cost to enter is $10 and more information is available on the Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation facebook page.
DEADLINE IS TODAY TO PURCHASE TAGS FOR BULKY ITEM PICKUP IN POPLAR BLUFF
Today is the final day for Poplar Bluff residents to purchase tags for this month’s Bulky Item Pickup.
Residents can purchase bulk item tags from the City Collector’s office at City Hall for $20. The tags entitle you to the removal of four bulk items, such as couches or refrigerators.
No construction materials or small items will be picked up and the program is for residential areas only.
Today is the final day to purchase item tags at City Hall to be included in next week’s pick up, which will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9th.
