DISASTER RECOVERY CENTERS OPENING TODAY IN DUNKLIN AND STODDARD COUNTIES

Disaster Recovery Centers will be available this week in Dunklin and Stoddard Counties.

The centers will be located at the Dunklin County Administration Office in Kennett and the Bootheel Regional Planning Commission in Dexter. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., today and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Missourians who sustained damage to their primary residence or personal property due to the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred from March 30th through April 8th of this year can visit the centers for one-on-one help.

The counties who are eligible include Butler, Carter, Dunklin, New Madrid, Ripley, Stoddard, and Wayne, among others.

At the centers, affected individuals can get help applying for disaster assistance, speak to state or federal representatives, receive updates on their FEMA registration, and more.

FEMA financial assistance may include money for basic home repairs, personal property losses or other underinsured/uninsured disaster-related needs such as childcare, transportation, medical needs, funeral, or dental expenses. The FEMA registration deadline is December 22nd.

SALIVA AND TYLER FARR COMING TO THE BLACK RIVER COLISEUM IN DECEMBER FOR THE CLASH AT THE COLISEUM

A big concert has been announced to finish off 2025 at the Black River Coliseum.

Country music star Tyler Farr will be joined by the legendary rock band Saliva in Poplar Bluff for the Clash at the Coliseum on Saturday, December 27th.

The show will also include Fallen Within, who performed at Bonestock last year.

ELLSINORE MAN ARRESTED IN CARTER COUNTY ON SODOMY CHARGES

A weeks-long effort has led to the arrest of a Southeast Missouri man on sodomy charges.

Carter County Sheriff Alonzo Bradwell tells KWOC News that Christian Clardy, of Ellsinore, has been arrested on three counts of first degree sodomy.

Few details about the arrest have been released, however Bradwell says that Clardy is currently being held without bond.

MUSICAL IMPROV SHOW SET FOR TONIGHT IN POPLAR BLUFF

A one of a kind show will be performed tonight on the campus of Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.

Your ideas will help form the Improvised Broadway Musical, beginning at 7 pm at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.

The show will be a full Broadway-style musical that is completely improvised by improv actors from Broadway with input from the audience.

Tickets are on sale for $15 at trcc.edu/events. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door.

ROAD WORK SCHEDULED FOR TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY

Route 114 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane for the rest of this week near Morehouse.

According to officials, Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be performing pavement repairs on Route 114 between Route 153 and Route 60 both today and tomorrow.

Work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

CREWS WORKING TODAY ON SOUTHEAST MISSOURI INTERSTATE

Interstate 155 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction in both the eastbound and westbound lanes as contractor crews perform median barrier wall repairs. 

The section of roadway being reduced is located between mile markers 9 and 10.

Weather permitting, the work will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
