WAPPAPELLO MAN FLOWN TO ST. LOUIS HOSPITAL AFTER BEING RUN OVER BY A UTV
A Wappapello man has been flown to a regional hospital after being struck by a UTV.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred Sunday afternoon in Wayne County, two miles west of Wappapello.
The UTV was backing up when it drove over 73 year old Charles Reed. The vehicle then struck a tree.
Reed suffered serious injuries and was flown to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.

The Ozark Foothills Conference baseball tournament continues today with the semi-finals at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.
Naylor advanced to the semi-final round with a 3-1 victory over East Carter. Greenville jumped on Clearwater early in their quarterfinal matchup, cruising to a 12-0 victory. Naylor will take on Greenville today at 1 pm.
The final game of Monday saw Doniphan picking up the victory over Neelyville 9-3. Doniphan advances to the semi-finals where they will take on top seed Twin Rivers. First pitch for that game is scheduled for 3:30 pm today.

MAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON WEAPON AND DRUG CHARGES
Authorities in Stoddard County have arrested a Bertrand man on weapon and drug charges.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that 50 year old Keith Coots was taken into custody Sunday morning on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and unlawful use of a weapon.
He is also facing a charge of exceeding the posted speed limit.
Following the arrest, Coots was held at the Stoddard County Jail.
DATES SET FOR GREENVILLE JACK O’LANTERN JUBILEE
The dates have been announced for the 2022 Greenville Jack O’Lantern Jubilee.
According to the US Army Corps of Engineers, the free event will be held from 5 to 7 pm on October 15th, 22nd, and 29th at the Greenville Campground.
Officials say that during the jubilee, area businesses, groups, agencies, and creative campers will decorate their campsites and welcome trick-or-treaters into the campground.

PAVEMENT REPAIRS SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEK ON US HIGHWAY 60 IN BUTLER COUNTY
Eastbound U.S. Route 60 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform various pavement repairs.
According to officials, the work zones will be located from Route NN to the Butler County line.
Weather permitting, work will take place today through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily.
CREWS TO BE WORKING ON ROUTE 67 IN BUTLER COUNTY BEGINNING TODAY
Route 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane beginning today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform various pavement repairs.
According to officials, crews will be conducting the repairs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, through Thursday.
The section of Route 67 to be impacted is located between Route MM and the Missouri State line.
