POPLAR BLUFF MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY BURGLARY WARRANT 

Authorities in Dunklin County say that an area teen has been arrested on a felony warrant.  

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18 year old Lucas Hardaway, of Poplar Bluff, was taken into custody Wednesday morning on a felony Butler County Warrant for burglary.  

Following the arrest, Hardaway was held at the Dunklin County Jail. 

WATER BILLS LOST FOR CAMPBELL RESIDENTS 

City officials in Campbell say that a mail issue is the reason residents have not received their water bill for December.  

According to the City of Campbell Facebook page, the water bills were mailed on November 29th, however the post office lost the bills.  

Residents are being asked to call 246-2541 to find out the amount of your December water bill.

WHEATLEY HISTORIC PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION TO HOST CHRISTMAS GALA THIS WEEKEND  

The Wheatley Historic Preservation Association will be hosting their 11th Annual Christmas Gala this weekend. 

The gala has been scheduled for Saturday at the Wheatley School in Poplar Bluff. There will be a meet and greet beginning at 5:30 pm, followed by a dinner at 6:30.

CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR ROAD PROJECTS IN WANYE AND DUNKLIN COUNTIES 

During a meeting held Wednesday, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded multiple contracts for road projects in Southeast Missouri.  

A contract was awarded for pavement improvements to Route 49 from Route 34 to Route 67 in Wayne County. 

Contracts were also awarded for pavement improvements for Routes D, F, N, AC, and WW in Dunklin County.   

Additional information, including timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.

BOLLINGER COUNTY MUSEUM TO HOST CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISING EVENT THIS WEEKEND 

A Southeast Missouri Museum will be hosting a fundraising event this weekend.  

Officials with the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History say that Christmas at the Museum has been scheduled for 1 to 4 pm on Sunday at Mayfield Hall in Marble Hill.  

Attendees will get to see plans for the new home and exhibits for the museum.

MUSICAL SET DURING WORLD WAR ONE SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT IN POPLAR BLUFF 

An acclaimed Theatre Company from Minnesota will be performing tonight in Poplar Bluff.  

Theater Latté Da will be performing the dramatic musical, “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” beginning at 7 pm at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center.  

The musical is about a true event from World War One where Allied and German soldiers laid down their arms to celebrate Christmas together. 

Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased online at trcc.edu/tinnin and in person at the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce and the Three Rivers Student Accounts Office. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
