SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR PERSON OF INTEREST IN FREDERICKTOWN HOME INVASION

A man is being sought in connection to a home invasion in Fredericktown.

According to the Fredericktown Police Department, 47 year old Glenn Frick is a suspected person of interest in the home invasion and was last seen in Fredericktown at 317 East College Street at approximately 6:15 PM.

Frick is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans along with a maroon long sleeve shirt and we have a picture of him available on the KWOC Facebook page.

Officials say that Frick was armed with a black AR 10 Rifle and a 357 Magnum Revolver Pistol.

BLOOMFIELD AUTHORITIES SEEKING HELP IN FINDING MISSING MAN

Authorities in Bloomfield are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing man.

According to the Bloomfield Department of Public Safety, 41 year old Jerry Hornback was last seen walking north on Viola Street in Bloomfield.

Officials say that Hornback is an insulin dependent diabetic and it is believed that he used a higher than normal dose of insulin before leaving his residence and he could be disoriented and confused.

Anyone with information on Hornback’s whereabouts is asked to contact Bloomfield DPS at 573-568-3576 or dispatch at 573-568-4654.

MERS GOODWILL TO ESTABLISH ADULT HIGH SCHOOL IN POPLAR BLUFF

An adult high school is coming to Poplar Bluff.

MERS Goodwill announced on Tuesday that the State of Missouri has awarded the organization a contract to establish four adult high schools over the next 21 months.

The schools, called Goodwill Excel Centers, will assist adults over the age of 21 to earn high school degrees and, in some cases, certifications for a number of fields of work.

In addition to Poplar Bluff, centers will also be placed in St. Louis, Columbia, and Springfield.

 

FOUR VEHICLES INVOLVED IN WRECK ON INTERSTATE 55

A wreck involving multiple vehicles left two people injured Tuesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 5 am Tuesday on Interstate 55 in New Madrid County.

Officials say that a total of four vehicles were involved in the wreck that started when a 2014 Nissan Altima struck the rear of another vehicle and was then hit from behind. The impact forced the Nissan to cross the median and strike another vehicle.

Two people involved in the wreck suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals.

 

DEXTER WOMAN ARRESTED ON CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WARRANT

Authorities in Stoddard County say that an area woman was recently taken into custody on a controlled substance warrant.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 31 year old Kacy Elizabeth Pease, of Dexter, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Pease’s bond was set at $7,500 and officials say that she has bonded out.

 

DRIVER EXAMINATION STATIONS TO BE CLOSED NEXT MONDAY

Driver examination stations across the state of Missouri will be closed next Monday.

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that the stations will be closed on Monday, January 15th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Normal operations are scheduled to resume the following Tuesday.
