POPLAR BLUFF POLICE SEARCHING FOR ARMED AND DANGEROUS MAN Poplar Bluff Police are searching for an area man who is being considered armed and dangerous.

Officials with the Poplar Bluff Police Department tell KWOC News that 21 year old Thomas Adam Sondermann, of Poplar Bluff, allegedly stole a vehicle on Wednesday from the Poplar Bluff area.

The vehicle is a maroon 2013 Toyota Highlander with a Missouri license plate of LH4-Z4U. The vehicle has a broken passenger window and possibly front end damage.

Officials say that Sondermann also has warrants out of the PBPD and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who has information on Sondermann’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Poplar Bluff Police Department at 573-785-5776.

 

 

 

AUTHORITIES SEARCHING FOR WOMAN IN CONNECTION TO VIOLENT CRIME IN WAYNE COUNTY Authorities in Wayne County are searching for a woman in connection to a violent crime.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, they are seeking help in locating Tabitha Gallaher, who is wanted in connection to a violent crime involving an elderly man. She was reportedly in the Ironton area.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gallaher are asked to contact the Wayne County Sheriff's Department at 573-224-3319.

  THREE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WRECK NEAR ADVANCE Three men were seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a wreck on Missouri Highway 25 in Stoddard County.

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that a vehicle driven by 22 year old Tyler Rushing, of Advance, ran off the side of the roadway, hit an embankment, and overturned.

One of the passengers was air lifted to a Cape Girardeau hospital following the wreck. Rushing and a second passenger were also taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital by ambulance.

  NEELYVILLE LADY TIGERS WIN SIXTH STRAIGHT DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP The Neelyville Lady Tigers have won their sixth straight district championship.

Neelyville defeated Thayer 60 to 57 in the finals of Class 2, District 3 Thursday night. The Lady Tigers will next play on Wednesday where they will take on the winner of the Class 2, District 4 final between Gainsville and Hartville.

  BOAT SUBMERGES IN WAPPAPELLO LAKE, THREE INJURED Three Poplar Bluff men were injured Thursday night when a boat they were in submerged in Wappapello Lake.

According to the Highway Patrol, the bow of the vessel had began taking on water. The three men hung on to the boat until it submerged. One of the men had moderate injuries, while the other two suffered minor injuries.

All three were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

  ROAD CLOSURE SET FOR TODAY IN BUTLER COUNTY Route F in Butler County will be closed today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform a culvert pipe replacement.

According to MoDot, Route F will be closed between County Roads 488 and 484.

Weather permitting; work will take place today from 8 am to 1 pm.

  STREET TO BE CLOSED AND SOME AREAS TO BE WITHOUT WATER TODAY IN DONIPHAN The Doniphan Street Department will be closing a street in the city today to make water line repairs.

According to the Doniphan Police Department the closure will be at the 1100 block of East Locust Street, which is between Kenwood and Sunny Acres Drive.

The Police Department says that some residents in the area will be without water until the repairs are made.
