THREE ARRESTED FOLLOWING DRUG BUST IN POPLAR BLUFF

Three people have been taken into custody following a drug bust Wednesday in Poplar Bluff.

Captain J.R. Keirsey with the Poplar Bluff Police Department tells us that officers were conducting a narcotics investigation on Wednesday in the area of Victor Street.

As a part of the investigation, officers made contact with 24 year old Lee Abraham Jr., 20 year old Michael Morris, and 18 year old Rausheda Rose, who were all occupying a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residence.

The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found a large baggie with 14 individually wrapped baggies of a green leafy substance, 15 individually wrapped baggies of a crystal substance, and a black scale.

Keirsey says Abraham and Morris were arrested and lodged in the Butler County Justice Center for distribution/delivery/ manufacturing of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Rose was arrested and lodged in the Butler County Justice Center for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

 

 

ADDITION DETAILS RELEASED ABOUT FATAL BUTLER COUNTY WRECK

Updating a story we brought to you yesterday, additional details have been released about a single vehicle wreck the claimed the life of a Poplar Bluff man.

According to Butler County Coroner Jim Akers, 39 year old Jeffery Galindo was killed in the wreck early Thursday morning on Business 67 south of Poplar Bluff.

Galindo’s vehicle ran off the side of the road, struck a concrete driveway curb, and overturned several times. Galindo, who was allegedly not wearing a safety device, was ejected during the wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

 

 

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE SEARCHING FOR WOMAN FOR ROBBERY, BURGLARY, AND ASSAULT

The Poplar Bluff Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman.

According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Amber L. Reno is wanted for robbery, burglary and assault.

Anyone who has information on Reno’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Police Department at 573-785-5776.

 

THREE RIVERS COLLEGE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY TO BE HELD TONIGHT

Three Rivers College will be celebrating the Class of 2016 tonight.

The Commencement ceremony will begin at 6 pm at the Black River Coliseum. Admission to the event is free.

Three Rivers Alumnus and local entrepreneur and businessman Erick Kirckman will serve as the keynote speaker.

 

 

MALDEN MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE FELONY CHARGES IN BUTLER COUNTY

A Malden man is facing multiple felony charges in connection to his arrest Thursday in Butler County.

According to the Highway Patrol, 23 year old Raymond Wilson was taken into custody for felony possession of a controlled substance – Xanex, felony distribution, and felony unlawful use of a weapon.

Following the arrest, Wilson was taken to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office on a 24 hour hold.

 

 

APRIL ATHLETES OF THE MONTH NAMED FOR POPLAR BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL

The Poplar Bluff Mules Booster Club has named a track member and baseball player as the Poplar Bluff Senior High April athletes of the month.

The Booster Club nominated Krisman Eakin and Kameron Misner for the honor.

Eakin, an outgoing sophomore, was a member of the first girls team to win a state title in track in 2015. She is currently ranked Number 1 in the Class 4 200-meter dash. She also holds multiple school, conference and All-State records. In the classroom, Krisman maintains a 10.714 GPA.

Misner, a member of the Class of 2016, signed a scholarship to play baseball for Mizzou. He had a perfect game as an All-American, and was named to the All-Conference and All-District first team. During his senior year, Kameron earned a 10.8 GPA.
