SIKESTON MAN SOUGHT ON ATTEMPTED RAPE CHARGE

Authorities in Sikeston are searching for an area man who is who is wanted on charges of attempted rape.

Captain James McMillen with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells KWOC News that they are looking for 21 year old Anthony Price, of Sikeston.

The charges stem from an allegation of an attempted sexual assault from August 28th.

 

 

PUXICO MAN ARRESTED ON CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE CHARGE

A Puxico man is facing a drug related charge following his arrest in Stoddard County.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 23 year old Xavier Jones was recently taken into custody on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $5,000 and he has since bonded out.

 

 

POPLAR BLUFF MAN FOUND IN POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE AND MARIJUANA

A Poplar Bluff man is facing charges after he was found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Deputy Chief Jeff Rolland with the Poplar Bluff Police Department tells KWOC News that 49 year old Donald Pickard was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple active warrants.

Rolland says that an officer found Pickard in possession of a small plastic baggie containing a substance that field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and a plastic cylinder shaped container that had marijuana.

Pickard was also in possession of a glass smoking pipe and a marijuana smoking pipe.

 

 

MAN FACING CHARGE OF TAMPERING WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE

Authorities in Poplar Bluff arrested a man last Friday following a report of a stolen vehicle from a Stoddard County Business.

Officers found the vehicle in Poplar Bluff driven by 37 year old Randall J. Moore Jr. Moore was arrested on charges of 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle and driving while revoked.

 

 

GIDEON MAN RUNNING FROM MICHIGAN TO POPLAR BLUFF TO RAISE MONEY FOR ST. JUDE

A Gideon man is running over 600 miles to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

66 year old Dale Manning is scheduled to begin his run today from Hartford, Michigan. Manning is aiming to complete 30 miles each day before finally ending at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on September 29th.

MAN SENTENCED IN STOLEN VEHICLE CASE

A man has been sentenced in Stoddard County in connection to a stolen vehicle case.

According to Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russell Oliver, 41 year old Michael Davis was sentenced on September 2nd to 13 years incarceration on a felony charge of stealing.

The value of the property stolen was reportedly over $25,000.

 

 

MAN ARRESTED IN POPLAR BLUFF FOR RESISTING ARREST AND PEACE DISTURBANCE

An intoxicated man was taken into custody following an incident Monday night in Poplar Bluff.

According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, an officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic assault.

At the scene a witness told the officer that 47 year old Mark Gregoire had become intoxicated and started making threats at multiple people inside the residence.

When the officer tried to take Gregoire into custody he took an aggressive stance and refused to move. After multiple attempts to get Gregoire to get into the patrol unit, an officer deployed a taser and applied a drive stun to the upper back area.

The man then got into the patrol unit with further incident.

Gregoire has been charged with resisting arrest and peace disturbance.
