POPLAR BLUFF MAN FACING MURDER CHARGES IN CONNECTION TO BOLLINGER COUNTY SHOOTING  

A Poplar Bluff man is facing charges in connection to a shooting Friday night.

According to authorities, 31 year old Joshua Sharar and Vickie Williams were each shot and stabbed during an incident in Bollinger County.

Sharar died at an area hospital while Williams is in critical condition.

32 year old William Pickard, of Poplar Bluff was taken into custody following a chase in Butler County. He is facing charges of 1st degree murder, armed criminal action, 1st degree assault, and tampering with a motor vehicle.

 

WOMAN INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY A VEHICLE IN KENNETT

 

A woman was injured Thursday after she was hit by a vehicle in Kennett.

According to the Kennett Police Department, two females told police they had been placing a child in a car seat when another vehicle backed out of a driveway across the street and backed into them. One of the woman suffered injuries during the incident.

The driver of the backing vehicle, 19 year old Christian Berry, of Kennett, was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated - drugs and no driver’s license.

 

THREE ARRESTED ON FELONY METH CHARGES IN RIPLEY COUNTY

 

Three people were arrested early Sunday morning in Ripley County on meth charges.

According to Sergeant Clark Parrott with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 26 year old Jeremy Riggs, of Poplar Bluff, along with 24 year old Frankie Brewer and 23 year old Brittany Brewer, of Doniphan, were taken into custody shortly after midnight Sunday morning.

The three are each facing felony meth related charges along with other charges.

 

GREENVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

 

A Greenville woman was taken into custody over the weekend on drug charges.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 21 year old Paige Duncan was arrested Sunday afternoon in Butler County on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Duncan is also facing a charge of possession of marijuana.

 

POPLAR BLUFF MAN IN CUSTODY IN CONNECTION TO DISCOVERY OF BODY IN BUTLER COUNTY

 

Continuing with a story we broke for you last week, a Poplar Bluff man has been taken into custody in connection to the discovery of a dead body in Butler County.

Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs tells KWOC News that Edward William Weaver, of Poplar Bluff, has been arrested and is facing charges of 1st and 2nd degree murder for the death of 48 year old Norman Jones, also of Poplar Bluff.

Weaver is accused of killing Jones during an alleged drug deal. Jones’s body was found in a car trunk on County Road 355 between Harviell and Neelyville.

 

GRANDIN MAN INJURED IN ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING

 

A Grandin man reportedly shot himself in the torso on Saturday.

Carter County Sheriff Rick Stephens tells KWOC News that 24 year old Collin Kellerman appears to have accidently shot himself while showing a handgun to another person.

Kellerman was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital following the shooting.

 

POPLAR BLUFF WOMAN ARRESTED ON ACTIVE WARRANTS

 

A Poplar Bluff woman was recently taken into custody on multiple active warrants.

According to Deputy Chief Jeff Rolland with the Poplar Bluff Police Department, 21 year old Carlee Eifert was found inside a residence on Foley Street and taken into custody on Wednesday.

While searching the residence an officer found a plate that contained a syringe and a spoon with residue on it.

Eifert was processed for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest along with the two warrants.

 

PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO BEGIN TODAY IN BUTLER COUNTY

 

Route N in Butler County will be reduced to one lane over two days as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

Route N will be reduced between Route 51 and County Road 214 from 8:30 am to 4 pm both today and tomorrow.
