WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN SUBMERGED CAR IN ARKANSAS LAKE A body was discovered Tuesday in a submerged vehicle in Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Mississippi County Arkansas.
According to authorities, the body has been identified as 60 year old Linda Jackson, of Manila. A report was made Tuesday morning that someone saw the vehicle in the water and authorities later found the body. ROOF OF PARKING GARAGE COLLAPSES IN JONESBORO
The roof of a downtown parking garage in Jonesboro has collapsed and officials are blaming a buildup of ice and snow.
The garage roof fell on Tuesday. The structure is on Union Avenue, where a traffic lane was blocked off as a precaution.
City E911 director Jeff Presley told KAIT that no one was injured but several vehicles were in the parking deck at the time the roof failed. TORNADO SIRENS ACCIDENTLY SET OFF IN PARAGOULD
Some Paragould residents were awakened by an unintentional alarm early Tuesday morning.
According to Paragould Police, the tornado sirens for the city were accidently set off at around 3:30 am Tuesday morning. The sirens went off when authorities were trying to disarm the system.
Police say that measures have been taken to prevent it from happening again. DORENA HICKMAN FERRY TO REOPEN THIS MORNING
Service is scheduled to restart today at the Dorena-Hickman Ferry.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the ferry will reopen on its normal winter schedule this morning.
The ferry has been closed since Friday due to ice and snow accumulation on the landing ramps. GOVERNOR NIXON TO SPEAK TODAY IN CAPE GIRARDEAU
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will be in Cape Girardeau today.

Booth space is available for next year’s Ag Expo. Ag Expo 2014 will be held January 24th from 1 to 8 pm and January 25th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff.
There will be 118 booths available to visit consisting of many different exhibits and attractions including contests, music, a beauty pageant, and a toy tractor pedal pull contest for kids. Approximately 10,000 people attended the two days of Ag Expo 2013.
Also returning will be the pesticide applicator training for private re-certification which will be held at the Expo on January 24th from 2 to 5 pm. New this year is the Mobile Certified Kitchen, along with a live cow milking demonstration.

CORPS OF ENGINEERS REMOVING ROCK FORMATIONS DUE TO LOW MISSISSIPPI RIVER
The up-and-down Mississippi River is down again, and the Army Corps of Engineers is once again removing rock formations to try and ensure that the river remains open to barge traffic through the winter.
The corps said Tuesday that contractors will remove about 2,800 cubic yards of rock over the next several months from the middle Mississippi River.
It is an extension of work that began last winter when the middle Mississippi reached to near-record low levels after months of drought. Though barge loads were limited, the rock removal helped keep the river open to barge traffic.
A wet spring led to flooding, but a dry fall has the river low again.
